Primordial

Primordials are a race of ancient and powerful beings believed to be responsible for the origin of Folk on Caldarra. The arrival of the Tyr and their limited capacity to create new life led Kuriosum scholars to theorize that primogenitor gods such as The Three Faces and The Great Ram may actually be the same kind of beings.
Primordials are often grouped into 2 categories: Awakened and Dormant.

Dormant

Dormant Primordials are theorized to not have had an active role in the birth of a Folk species. These species usually have a resemblance to another more primitive one and may very well have come into existence without external influence and the Primordial simply accelerated the process. The Fey and Bolrok are believed to have been birthed from Dormant Primordials.

Awakened

Awakened Primordials are theorized to have had a complete and active role in the birth a Folk species. These species tend to not bear any resemblance to another species in Caldarra and likely were created by design. The Giants, Forest Folk, and the Tyr are believed to have been created by Awakened Primordials. The Luun are also an example of a species created by the design of another being however as they were birthed by Gala they are technically not the direct creation of a Primordial.
