Gala

Gala was one of The Living Gods; lover of Karix and mother to Aymara, Skarada and Kaelis. She is believed to have also birthed the Luun to act as her mortal children. Gala was renowned for her kindness, empathy and compassion for all living beings; a mindset that would see her branded as the God of Life by her followers. She would fall victim to Ghol as the first casualty in his war against the Gods.

Appearance and Personality

Gala, like all Tyr, had an ethereal otherness to her appearance although unlike her family she had a frailness to her frame. She stood taller than all other folk save for the Giants. Her pale, silver, skin would glow with dazzling luminescence in the presence of the moon and her flowing locks of silver hair twinkled like stars in the sunlight. Eyes as white as pearls and thin smiling lips adorned her gaunt face.   Gala was renowned for her kindness and the joy she took in every life around her. Despite being a God and a ruler of a nation she was never arrogant or pompous. She cared deeply for her Folk and would hold court late into the night to ensure the needs of all her subjects were met. Rich or poor she did not discriminate and could feast and laugh with all from the lowest commoner to the highest noble.   This kindness would extend even to the one who would end her life. When she came face-to-face with Ghol, the Folk who wished ruin upon her family, to try and prevent a war she treated him with the greatest of cordiality. Perhaps recognising the motivation of his actions she likely forgave him even at the moment of her own death.

Powers

Being one of The Living Gods Gala possessed immense power and could manipulate Eil with ease. She rarely used this power but had been known to quieten storms and extinguish raging flames. Her single greatest use of her power is believed to be her use of it to create the Luun. Channeling enough Eil into such a complex process as the creation of life was believed to be all but impossible to even the most powerful Eilomancers.
Despite the seeming impossibility of the task, Gala accomplished it and brought a new race of Folk into the world. The effort however took its toll and Gala's strength was never quite the same afterwards. Although naturally slender, Gala would forever take on a more gaunt appearance and would never wield Eil in such a manner again.
