The Royal House of Savelli
The Winemasters of Albion
The Royal House of Savelli is one of the six ancient houses of Albion and lord over the kingdom of Rivain, south of the White Mountains, west of Arrah and east of the kingdom of Alba. The Savelli are renowned traders and bankers, and they are particularly involved in the overland trade of fine goods within Albion. Their revolutionary banking system and use of paper currency has made them the richest of all the great houses on the continent.
The matriarch of the ancient house of Savelli, who joined Arran on his journey across the Alvus Sea, ruled over vast lands of golden wheat fields on Eridas. This tradition was continued, albeit with the inclusion of vineyards and other, finer foods that the common people could enjoy during the Golden Age. Their history with the Empire has resulted too in a great fighting force, using the traditions of the legions of old, second only to House Boudewijn
Current lord of the lands of Rivain is King Umberto of house Savelli, first of his name. He has inherited debt and trade issues and a host of bureacratic nightmares under which the kingdom's administration is buried, and generally keeps to himself within his palatial residence in Melisia, preferring instead the lower lords of the country to rule in his stead.
The Heraldry of Savelli
Depicted are the imperial purpur and laurel wreath with which the house identifies. The seven coins represent the wealth of the royal house.
