Half-Elf
Half-elves (also called Pher in Elvhenan) are humanoids born through the union of an elf and a human. As long as humans and elves had interacted, there have been cases of half-elves being born between the two races. In spite of this, the race typically remains rare enough that, except in exceptional circumstances, half-elves have not congregated together in large enough numbers to form true communities.
Basic Information
Growth Rate & Stages
Half-Elves mature slightly slower than humans, reaching adulthood at around the ages of twenty, although they will live to around one hundred years old. However, reaching adulthood is never guaranteed for a half-elf. The mixing of human and elven blood within a half-elves body often produces fatal results. The elven blood and human blood will compete against each other within the growing child. During this competition half-elf children are often afflicted with terrible illnesses called Haemopugna. If the body cannot achieve balance then the child will die before reaching puberty.
