Forged amidst the shroud of necromantic rites and unholy incantations, the Black Kiss emerged as a twisted masterpiece crafted by the sinister hand of Erebus Kane, the Lich Pact-Lord. Conceived to serve as the instrument of doom for his champion, Phaedra Cadence, this accursed artifact bore the mark of dark sorcery and eldritch manipulation.
Its origins lay in the corruption of the once benevolent "Veil of Devotion," a cloak woven from the twilight strands of the ethereal realm. Erebus, wielding the blasphemous power granted by his unholy pact, warped the very fabric of the Veil, reshaping it into a monstrous longsword of chilling malevolence. At the moment of its creation, the Black Kiss exuded an aura of necrotic dread, its blade shimmering with a spectral hue reminiscent of moonlit decay, but it was when Phaedra laid claim to the blade that its true horror was unleashed, as it erupted into a ghastly blue flame, cold as the touch of the grave, at her command and capable of scorching life from flesh and bone as easily as if it were paper.
What truly set the Black Kiss apart from mere enchanted weapons was its grisly augmentation. Within its darkened steel lay the tormented souls of a hundred fallen warriors, their essence bound to the blade in a nightmarish communion. Each soul contributed its anguish, its rage, and its grim expertise, empowering the Black Kiss with a spectral prowess beyond mortal ken, moreover, the Black Kiss retained the enchantment bestowed upon it by Phaedra's absent goddess, Shah. With but a whispered command, Phaedra could unleash an aura of freezing death, cloaking herself and her foes in the icy embrace of the grave from a mere chill to a bone-numbing frost.

Significance

This weapon is a vile and twisted blend of divine power tainted by necromantic power. It contains the spirits of all those sacrificed in its creation by Erebus Kane , as well as the spirits of those slain with it since, each only severing to empower the blade even more. The weapon is, in its own way, alive, and will not answer to anyone save the individual it was created for, Phaedra Cadence
