Embraced by Lady Aisling in 1355 AR out of sheer refusal to be parted from her dear friend, Nephinae, Genevieve's transformation into a creature of the night was marked by resistance and anguish. At first, she saw herself as a monstrous aberration...a skilled healer and lover of life suddenly thrust into a nightmare world where she was forced to prey upon other sentient beings to sustain herself.
Despite her initial reluctance, Genevieve's spirit gradually eroded under the relentless onslaught of her insatiable hunger. Unable to contain the primal urges that consumed her, she surrendered to the darkness within, shedding the vestiges of compassion and empathy that once defined her humanity. In their place arose a twisted, malevolent entity, a being devoid of remorse or mercy, driven solely by the relentless pursuit of sustenance. Utilizing her friendly demeanor and diminutive stature, Genevieve became a master of deception and manipulation, navigating the intricacies of social and cultural settings with ease. Under the guise of hospitality and kindness, she lured unsuspecting prey into her grasp, toying with them in the most sadistic of ways. With a perverse pleasure, Genevieve prolonged the agony of her victims, drawing out their suffering for weeks, months, or even years at a time. Through her skills as a healer, she twisted the very essence of life itself, prolonging the torment of her prey until it became an art form, a grotesque display of cruelty and depravity.
In the aftermath of the genocide that befell her people, Genevieve withdrew into the shadows of Deireadh an Chroí, cloistered away from prying eyes. Though her halfling heritage would draw too much attention in public, she remains a specter of terror, haunting the darkest corners of Cairne with her insatiable hunger and boundless malice unseen save by those who do not live to tell of her visitation.

From a young age, Genevieve displayed a natural aptitude for the healing arts, her gentle touch and compassionate nature earning her the admiration of her peers and elders alike. Under the tutelage of the village healer, she honed her skills, mastering the ancient remedies and herbal lore passed down through generations. It was during this time that Genevieve forged a bond that would shape the course of her destiny, a deep and abiding friendship with Nephinae Genvyre, a kindred spirit who shared her love for the arcane and the mysteries of the world beyond. Together, they roamed the idyllic countryside, their laughter echoing through the meadows as they explored the secrets of the forest and the hidden wonders of the land, but as Genevieve's affection for Nephinae grew, so too did her sense of unease, as she sensed a darkness lurking beneath her friend's enigmatic facade. Confronting Nephinae with her suspicions, Genevieve demanded the truth...a truth that would shatter the idyllic facade of their friendship and thrust them both into a world of shadows and deception.

Faced with the prospect of being separated from her beloved friend, Genevieve made the fateful decision to follow Nephinae into the dark embrace of the Sanguine Epoch, unaware of the horrors that awaited her on the other side. And so, in the year 1355 AR, she surrendered herself to the will of Lady Aisling, her innocence and naivete becoming little more than fodder for the insatiable hunger of the coven's dark mistress.
