The Public Declaration

The Public Declaration, or the Cassian Treaty, is the founding document of the Meron Supremacy. It was written by Chancellor Cassian Aurelian and the 13 First Senators of Meros.

Purpose

The Public Declaration outlines how the newly-created Republic of Meros will function, as well as which rights and duties its citizens will possess.

Clauses

The Public Declaration is divided into three parts. The first, written by Casian himself, acts as a manifesto against the tyranny of kings, and explains his decision to overthrow the Grancia Dynasty. The second serves the purpose of a constitution, and contains a list of rights that may not be disrespected by future laws. The final part summarizes the branches of government, its associated offices, and what purpose they each serve.
