Meron Empire

The Third Grand Republic of Merony, or the Meron Empire, was a powerful empire in the continent of Lusia. Known as one of the Great Powers of the Heartland Sea, Merony was at the forefront of industrialization, making it the clear victor of the First Heartland War and undisputed global superpower for much of the early 1st century.
The Third Republic was a product of the cultural movement known as the "Maurin Revival", which attempted to create a single national identity for the recently united Successor States. This led to several efforts from the meron government to draw a direct line between the modern Merony and the Meron Supremacy of the ancient era.
Merony would go on to achieve a level of military expansion and influence that would rival its spiritual ancestor, with colonies as far as Okana and the Pandurama Wilds. But after a series of unsuccessful wars and financial crashes, followed by the rise of the International Red Alliance, let to a deep political crisis within the Meron system. This eventually led to the rise of the national populist Aurelianist Party, led by Venator Senna, which would overthrow the Third Republic in an industrialist-backed parliamentary coup, establishing the Social Supremacy.
