The Blue Mountains
A Harsh Land of Ice and Iron
The Blue Mountains is a large county in the central south of Gelding Wood. It encompasses the Blue Mountain range, a small offshoot of the much larger Hisenor Range of mountains to the south. It is a cold and frigid area, where most of the population is engaged in either mining, crafting, or small scale farming. Settlements in The Blue Mountains are small, clinging on in whatever small areas are habitable enough. The County Capital of Pordeno is the only settlement of any real size, and is itself little more than a large town packed with all manner of industry.
Culture
The people of the Blue Mountains are hardy and tough. They have to be, to survive the conditions here. They are big believers in working hard to earn your place, and that shows in their attitude to work. Perhaps due to that mindset, they tend to show little more than a casual respect for outsiders, unless they prove themselves of worth to the community.

Judicial Body
Local landed knights are responsible for interpreting the laws, but on rare occasions a case will be escalated to either the Authoritarian, the Lord, or both.

The laws of the The Blue Mountains are enforced by individual landowners, usually landed knights, with the aid of local forces such as village watches or men-at arms.
