Overview

King Caernon, once ruler of the Autumn Gloam Court, is now a myth-shrouded figure in Tarnith's lore. A master of withering beauty and bittersweet endings, he was both lover and rival to Queen Lyris, and his legacy endures as a cautionary tale of pride, passion, and betrayal.   Though long absent from the Feywild, Caernon’s influence lingers in the form of cursed groves, broken vows, and thorn-laced glamours said to echo his sorrow.

Personality & Depiction

Caernon is remembered as melancholic, noble, and fiercely proud. Cloaked in rust-hued leaves and crowned with twisted thorns, he wielded sorrow like a blade. Some say he fell in love with the fleeting nature of all things—and sought to freeze beauty before it decayed.

Legends and Fate

Once consort to Queen Lyris, Caernon grew estranged when she refused to bend her court to his melancholic worldview. His departure fractured the balance of the seasonal courts, and some believe he wandered into a deeper realm of the Feywild—or even became one with it.   Others whisper that he slumbers beneath the Forest of Nightshade, dreaming of a world that never ends.
