Description

These birds have a soft, smooth skin covered in small, thin feathers, which is usually either light purple, dark purple, brown or light silver or a combination of these colors. They have two large and four smaller wings, four strong legs and a short, powerful tail. They have long, sharp beaks that has a flat shape to it (think of a duck's bill but more triangular). Their beaks are always dark in color. They now have features that are similar to a raven.
Because Humans are scared of the truth of these birds, only two wings and two legs are seen. If one is looking carefully then all will be seen, especially at dawn when the birds take flight to return to Harmony Veil.

Sound

These birds cries are said to be grating. This sound is the bird forewarning of what's to come, except most Humans don't understand what they're trying to communicate. Though a few have sworn they almost heard words. If seen before a birth, the cries are a musical sunrise.

Habitat

They live in open areas such as plains. But what they eat is unclear.

Are they common?

No, they are quite rare.

Sightings

Only one bird is seen at a time, usually at right before an important event such as before a major war breaks out. On rare occasions it is seen before a birth. Only once has a collection of the birds been seen together. This ended very badly for the Human race.

History

These were once ducks. They were corrupted by Gloombringers. Infinite Grace brought a few to Caelum Prime and tried to undo what was done. When that failed, he made them messengers.
