Personal history
As a member of The Broken Society, Scar has a greater knowledge of what's going on around the Covenant of the Scattered. Still, she, along with Lew are low on the totem pole and, for the most part, are relegated to recruiting and feeding the female Eaters that are locked up.
Unknown to anyone, she carried the Chaos Affliction, so when Kit Brown pushed her overboard, she died and became an Eater. With the help of Lew, she was pulled back aboard the Covenant of the Scattered and she was released on Kit Brown.
