The people of Asqah Caliphate whisper about this legendary water source. Many believe that it has mystical powers that can heal a person and/or purify them. Ancient tales speak of this place as a place that was once fought over by Eternals and Gloombringers.

Tourism

Pligrimages come here to see these legendary waters and to purify their souls. Some come for the healing. Others claim to be able to hear and feel the echoes of the battle that was once fought here.

Healing and purification as the most common reasons for a piligrimage. I've read of some done for far less worhy goals. But how can one hear an feel a battle that most likely never happened or if it did, happened a very long time ago.

An oasis in the middle of a desert. I'd honestly be surprised if stories hadn't cropped up around this place. I can't place much stock in any of these stories though, at least not at this time. I've yet to find the historical data to back any of them up. But these beliefs of the healing and purification properties, as well as the (laughable to me) claim of the battle between Eternals and Gloombringers happening here, speaks much about these people. These beliefs will be something I will continue to invesitage. I highly doubt that I will find any evidence of the battle some claim happened here.
