Pythas

Solar of the High Heavens, Pythas took a sacred oath to protect Cabochon from incursions from demons, devils, and evils unknown. Resplendent in his celestium gear, this paladin angel vowed to keep this oath no matter the cost... even if that cost of his own life, limb, or sanctity.
It was during a particularly gruesome showdown with a powerful yet shriveled monk that this oath was tested. Not by mettle, or cunning, but that of hard truth. All that he knew was immediately questioned: to follow his oath meant forsaking his oath. Cabochon must be freed from the bondage he protects. This was compounded when an avatar of a long since fallen angel begged his help.
Thus, Pythas rallied a menagerie of misfits. Extending his new oath to them and absolving them of previous sins, they formed the Unfettered. This new brotherhood swore to protect the captive and break their chains, no matter how sturdy.
