Life, Identity
On a visit to the Botanical Gardens in Hanoi, Grant Le is resting with his family while Zarya Li and Riley Le go to get some food nearby. Randomly, a lady approaches Grant's group and tells him to hand over the crystal around his neck. When he asks why, the lady says that she lost it a couple weeks ago and needs it back. Grant doesn't trust the lady and refuses, causing her to get visibly frustrated as she grabs him by his shirt and lifts him up. As the lady begins to talk in a very threatening manner to Grant about the crystal he has, his parents and others around try to push her or do anything to get her to let go of this kid. At this point, Zarya and Riley come back to this commotion, and when Zarya approaches the lady to tell her to stop, the lady notices the bracelet she is wearing. An exchange is had between them, and the lady reveals herself as Cheshire, a crystal hunter. A fight ensues that ends with Cheshire running away after Grant bonds with his essence crystal and becomes Beast Boy. Two sisters, going by Mantis and Karma, also make an appearance.
