Over these seven months, Jane Smith and her essence crystal have daily and nightly conversations in which Jane's confidence and fears are slowly dealt with. With this, she is able to begin talking to her cousins and starts to make some friends at school. The crystal starts to teach her about the abilities it harnesses and teaches her how to use them. Jane's creative mind lends itself well to these abilities, and she is able to make many impressive things, although small because of the limitations that is her room. By the end of this time, Jane is pretty proficient and the crystal makes a proposal to her. However, she's not truly confident if she wants to take on the role the crystal wants her to be and asks it to give her a bit of time, which it does.
