The EUS in the most prominent government in sol, presiding over the entirety of the inner rim planets as well as a many stations and settlements in the outer rim. EUS control is characterized by totalitarian rule from earth, strong local leaders known as the wardens who govern settlements, stations and small cities and a strong military presence. The particular laws and regulations of any given settlement varies greatly depending on the warden in power, though a healthy balance between law and liberty can be expected in any EUS controlled location.

The EUS has a strong preference towards humans, but places a happy allegiance with their new neighbors that make fair tradings, allowing the host demon/angelic, Kadru, Staligard, Gaicomb and Wendigo reasonable autonomy in the inner rim, the other non humans have been granted limited rights but are under higher scrutiny during any legal interaction (checkpoints, ID checks, arrests an beyond) Any non-registered human or non-human is always under the highest scrutiny giving outer rim denizens very little leeway in the inner rim.

History

Formed out of necessity during a great cataclysm in Earth's past, the governments and powerful families of old united to fix the problems of earth, founding the EUS. slowly the human race pulled itself back from the brink of destruction and began work on the Jewel of earth: Severance City. To solve the multiple resource crises and overpopulation the human race looked to the stars and began settling mars, and soon after venus and their own moon. Spreading like wildfire from planet to planet the EUS began stripping them of resources to build more settling ships and resource transportations ships. Soon an interplanetary market arose and with it a separation between the wealthy and the impoverished gripped the more dense populations. Only Earth itself seemed to maintain a latent wealth and high standard of life.

Operating from a perspective of might makes right, the rulers of earth command an immense fleet of military class interplanetary star-ships. Though the official assets of the EUS military are unknown, estimates place the number of active service members somewhere in the billions.

As the primary political and military power within Sol the EUS is the center of many aspects of society, including economy, culture and scientific progression.

The EUS is the primary political power in the Sol Solar system. Though ruled by the tyrannical High Ruling Council on Earth and constantly reminded of the military might that enforces the often oppressive and invasive laws of earth, most citizen maintain a high level of pride in their citizenship; especially in the face of the new races newly arrived in the solar system.
