Formation of the SDA

Founding

The SDA is formed as a research and development organization to supply the EUS with newer and stronger Military Technology.

Prior to the formation of the SDA, many separate corporations and research initiatives competed to pioneer new technology. During the Antebellum, seeing the path to war and the discovery of zendikite revolutionizing every scientific field, the High Ruling Council of the EUS deemed it necessary to unify scientific efforts in the system. After a few failed attempts to start a scientific branch of the EUS military, the corporate powers that funded these previously competing research and development efforts decided it was more advantageous to collaborate outside of EUS interference. This was the beginning of the Sol Directive Alliance.   Throughout the war, they would provide the EUS with weapons, Warships, and warheads. After the war, they would set up their compound in the outer rim and do research into everything from toasters to homicite based nullification fields.
