Elad was the kindly marshal of Salisbury and the castellan of Vagon until his death in 483. His liege lord was Earl Roderick of Salisbury.   In addition to his duties as marshal, he helped train squires into knights - including Sir Amlyn, Sir Artaire, and Sir Gwyn. He was engaged to Lady Indeg.   Elad was killed in an ambush in Lonazep by a mysterious man reported to be Sir Blains of Levcomagus.
