M&F Compania
Whilst M&F functions as a country it is technically a guild that has legal ownership of all of its territories including the capital of Martundridge.
Virtually all citizens work for M&F in a hierarchy that is a mix between the stringent hierarchy and clear rank of military command and the franchising and network of responsibilities of a company. This strange mix has caused a lot of citizens to become very passionate and loyal to there country.
STAR - M&F-Serum
M&F has developed a serum that has the ability to change aspects of a person into that of a different creature. The exact creature can differ but usually M&F gives aspects of insects to its subjects. The serum is always a little bit unpredictable but M&F has honed many techniques over the years to ensure a specific result such as specific limb replacements or enhancements. The Serum is sometimes stolen and sold on the black market but without these techniques the results are WIDELY unpredictable.History
Martund, a wealthy merchant, lost his arm during a mountain climbing trip after it had been cut of by a giant praying mantis. He had an experienced medic with some magical capabilities with him, his close friend Freischuck. However they would not be able to carry him down the mountain and the climb would be impossible with one arm. In a last ditch effort the medic gathered some unknown herbs that had been reported by the locals to grant rejuvenating properties and mixed in some meat from the mantis before feeding it to Martund. After a very turbulent and painful sleep the medic awoke to the sight of Gregor with the arm of a praying mantis in place of the old one he lost. The arm was able to strike into the sheer stone cliffs of the mountain meaning Martund could get down safely.
Later when Martund got home and went to supervise a local mine he owned his workers where in AWE. His arm could perform four times the work of a normal worker and he could start chopping down tree's with a single swing and become a great lumberjack whenever he wanted to. Wanting to share his gifted succes he payed for expeditions for the miracle herbs that gifted him and eventually they found it with the help of his friend Freischuck. With this invention he set out and created Martund and Freischuck Labor Guild (MFLG for short). Employees of MFLG would drink this newly discovered formula that greatly enhanced there capabilities. Because of this the MFLG was able to do far more with far less labours and quickly became a thriving guild even building up a town around there most prosperous mine, Martundridge. Martund believed strongly in the respecting of your betters and integrated this belief in MFLG. The guild was more structured than others and had a very strong and rigid emphasis on hierarchy. If someone was above you in the food chain you would listen to them no matter what.
During the age of judgment the noble class largely fled the Impesta region and a lot of merchants with them. The MFLG on the other hand refused to. There workers already had a lot of applications for combat use so they decided to take a stand and hunker down. The guild hierarchical structure morphed into a line of command and after ramping up there augmentations the MFLG proved to be very effective against the demons. So much in fact that refugees from neighboring town came to Martundridge for safe harbor. The MFLG accepted these refuges but not for free. All those who joined had to contributed to the war efforts, either in the mines or on the field. Because of the strict culture and focus on leadership these saved refugees started to almost venerate the MFLG becoming very loyal and venerating the founders(dead) Martund and Freischuck. Seeying this the MFLG decided to rebrand as M&F Compania to distance themselves from the founder, but at the same time respect them and avoiding animosity with the cult of personality. Those who showed blind loyalty and zealotry would quickly get promoted and be put in a position to share there ideals. After a dozen years M&F was in a very stable position but started to run out of sheer recourses. So they expanded to other villages. Initially it was planned to led all villages join the fold but some proved downright hostile. For the good of the company villages where either subjugated and augmented or if they attacked M&F they would be eliminated. Over the course of the age of judgment everybody in the area ended up joining M&F either out of admiration for the cause or sheer desperation, though the war did breed comradery within most of the populace. After the age of judgment M&F agreed to join the The Impesta Confederacy in there rebellion in exchange for large continues shipments of food. With how fast M&F was growing it started to outgrow its sources of food and with them no longer being able to expand they needed food and resources whilst they stabilized they build up there agriculture and industry.
