Districts
The Cloud District
This term is typically used to describe the portion of the City and the rest of the mountain which rest entirely below the level of the clouds. Conditions here are usually much more damp and unseemly compared to the rest of the city above cloud level.
The Wolkendecke
The name of this district literally translates to “cloud top” and refers to the buildings that are within the first 3000ft of the usual cloud levels. The Wolkendecke starts at precisely 25,087 feet above sea level.
The Sterrelle
The next portion takes its name from the fact that it begins at the altitude at which the stars are always faintly visible during even the height of day. The first dwellings alotted this district title begin at 28,091 feet while the district climbs another 3000ft into the sky
The Austern
The height of the city is the smallest portion making up the last 1000ft of the mountain, beginning at 31,088ft, plus an additional 300ft of towers and spires stretching even further upwards to the lofty height of 32,401ft. It is said that at the top of this tallest tower, one can hear the stars whisper down the secrets of the universe and places beyond The structures sport great crystal lenses and ornat pane-glass windows made to allow for maximum light reception. Being at the top of the mountain, the space in this district is increasingly limited and largely consumed by temples and shrines. Only two-dozen of the most prestiges Star elves in the entirety of Breon can claim a residence in this lofty district. At the heart of the Austern, resting in a great crystalline dome is the Sterngarten.
