Season 1 - Session 1
General Summary
GLORIA, BILLIE, TOMMY, and GRIMEY are friends in a small town in BOULDER, NEVADA. A town near a LOOP FACILITY. One day GLORIA meets a new boy that moves to town named CASSIUS who she invites to her friend’s hideout at MR. GORDON'S RECORD SHOP. Both GLORIA and TOMMY are employees there. GLORIA is a little taken aback that CASSIUS showed up as she was pointedly closed off to him, but he seemed happy to be there and even knew a bunch of good songs both GLORIA and TOMMY enjoyed.
BILLIE and GRIMY like to hang out in the back alley. On this fateful Thursday, both are outside wrangling a raccoon named BARRY MANNILOW into a sack. All the kids know of a TRANSFORMERS (robots in disguise) toy sale happening. It is an exclusive launch in their town. The kids all go and get in a tussle over the toys. GLORIA is reluctant at first but is able to release BARRY into the crowd which she takes to be a form of protest against CAPITALISM. GRIMEY grabs an OPTIMUS PRIME toy and gifts it to CASSIUS, while BILLIE grabs a JAZZ toy. GRIMEY himself secures a BUMBLEBEE while TOMMY gets a SOUNDWAVE (it looks like it can play cassettes- through, unfortunately each set is sold separately). We are all pretty happy with our hauls/ the chaos we caused. We even thwarted a bully; however, as the crowd dissipates, we see some SUSPICIOUS MEN IN BLACK SUITS leave the back room and head into some equally suspicious vans. Sensing something amiss, GRIMEY and BILLIE spring into action. They grab their SKATEBOARDS and are able to hold onto the vans. Driving further and further into the desert. They are not spotted and do a good job tracking the vans movements. Eventually as the van leaves town BILLIE instructs GRIMEY to go back while she continues to investigate. GRIMEY agrees and dips out. BILLIE finds herself in a STRANGE HOTEL (labeled APPLEYARD HOTEL) in the middle of nowhere, there are strange employees around. She is able to swipe a KEYCARD but cannot bluff her way inside. Annoyed, she turns back to a point where she can call her BROTHER, STEVEN, for a pickup in his TRUCK. STEVEN comes and is miffed when she asks to check in with her friends at the RECORD STORE. Meanwhile, when BILLIE and GRIMEY disappear, GLORIA, TOMMY, and CASSIUS head into the back room to see if they can get any information on who the MYSTERIOUS MEN are. CASSIUS gets in quick, GLORIA takes some time, and TOMMY is seen so he has to wait outside in a state of worry. There is no sign of the men but the BACKROOM is stranger than they imagined. There is a ONE WAY MIRROR that seems odd. It overlooks the floor where the toys are being sold. There is also a SHIPPING AREA and an OFFICE. The OFFICE has a COMPUTER and rows upon rows of DECEPTICON toys. CASSIUS carefully selects a MEGATRON toy and steals it before tinkering with the COMPUTER, while GLORIA sleuths in the WASTEBASKET. CASSIUS finds a SHIPPING PROBLEM with the AUTOBOT toys (There is a lack of them while there are TONS of DECEPTICONS). He also finds the ADDRESS of the TOY’S DESIGNER (URSULA KERR- a guest speaker who did not arrive today.) GLORIA finds a NAIL GUN, but it seems different than a regular tool. The two don’t want to push their luck so they head to the RECORD STORE to discuss what they found. CASSIUS is quite good at tinkering, so he tests the gun on a trashcan to find that it disintegrates. The kids are delighted and blow up two trash cans. They all start explaining what they found while BILLIE shows back up. It’s a relief to see her. She pays off STEVE with a record. We all promise to meet the next day and maybe investigate the strange location BILLIE found in the light. At home strange things are brewing. CASSIUS goes into his uncle’s compound, past the animals into the garage. He intends to pull apart MEGATRON and see if he can find any TRACKERS, but before he can complete his task, both toys spring to life! OPTIMUS and MEGATRON both grab knives and prepare to fight. CASSIUS panics and throws them both under different buckets. He quickly moves to call GRIMEY.
