Lake Mead

LAKE MEAD is a beloved recriational area in BOULDER, NEVADA. It is a large resivior formed by the HOOVER DAM.   At maximum capacity, Lake Mead is 112 miles (180 km) long, 532 feet (162 m) at its greatest depth, has a surface elevation of 1,229 feet (375 m) above sea level, has a surface area of 247 square miles (640 km2), and contains 28.23 million acre-feet (34.82 km3) of water.   The lake has remained below full capacity since 1983 owing to drought and increased water demand. In 1948, a Boeing B-29 Superfortress that crashed into it where it remains submerged.   The area surrounding LAKE MEAD holds HUNTERS LODGE 1,2,3,4. In SEASON 3 this is where KIM/MARTIN conducted their research into TIME KEYS.   In SEASON 3, a MAGNETRON SHIP keeps FALLING INTO THE LAKE, DISAPPEARING, and the FALLING AGAIN. It is also where STRANGE WEATHER PATTERNS occur, where GRIMEY falls into the SWEDISH MUD, and where the TIME FIELD first makes the KIDS sick.   LAKE MEAD returns to normal again at the end of the season. No one but the KIDS seem to remember all the strange events.   in SEASON 4, the KIDS jump into a TIME BUBBLE leading to LAKE MEAD. They discover the dead body of the DARPA SCIENTIST, SARAH BROOK, on the shore of LAKE MEAD
