Elves

Lore

Elves in Eldetha are a magical and long-lived race known for their grace, wisdom, and beauty. They are descendants of those who traveled from the Feywild, maintaining a deep connection to nature and the natural magical energies that surround all living things. The largest concentrations of elves in Eldetha are found in the twin High Elven nations of the Teu-tel Triumvirate and the Ar'Tel Dominion, each governed by collections of great houses.

Types of Elves

  • High Elves (Sun Elves and Moon Elves): Known for their skill with magic and the high value they place on bringing prestige to their family name.
    • Sun Elves (Gold Elves): Friendly and welcoming, Sun Elves organize their society along firm and hierarchical traditions. They are known for their bronze or golden skin, copper or golden blond hair, and green or gold eyes. Their authority comes from the prestige of their family name and magical prowess.
    • Moon Elves (Silver Elves): More cautious and reserved, Moon Elves place great importance on tradition, ritual, and procedure. They have pale white, silver, light grey, or light blue skin, white or black hair, and blue or green eyes. They are governed by royal Houses and value honesty and mutual respect.
  • Wood Elves: Deeply connected with nature, Wood Elves live in tribal communities known as the Kander. They are known for their earthy tones in skin, hair, and eyes, blending seamlessly with their natural surroundings.
  • Drow (Dark Elves): Living in the Underdark, the Drow are often distrusted by others. They are known for their dark ebony skin, white or very pale hair, and red or violet eyes. Their society is often matriarchal and follows the cruel god Lolth.
  • Sea Elves: Inhabitants of the deep oceans, Sea Elves battle creatures like the Sahugin. They have blue or green skin, hair resembling seaweed, and reflective eyes adapted to the dim light of the ocean depths.
