Moon Elves, also known as Silver Elves, are one of the two groups that constitute the High Elves, the other being the Sun Elves. Known for their cautious nature and slow-to-trust demeanor, Moon Elves have a society deeply rooted in tradition, ritual, and procedure. They value honesty and mutual respect, differentiating themselves from their more treacherous Drow cousins through their fair and just societal norms.

Physical Characteristics

• Skin: Pale white, silver, light grey, or light shades of blue or lilac.
• Hair: Typically white or black, with various shades of grey in between. Some Moon Elves also adopt light pink, blue, and purple hair colors in line with contemporary fashions.
• Eyes: Commonly blue, lilac, and green with a liquid appearance. Other eye colors include silver, black, hazel, and copper. Rarely, a child is born with opal-colored eyes, known as "Moon Kissed," believed to be a sign of divine blessing from gods such as Dyara and Sarus.

Society and Culture

Moon Elf society is organized into royal Houses, which are similar to those of the Drow but operate with far less treachery. Leadership within these Houses is based on wisdom, adherence to tradition, and integrity rather than sheer power. Key Aspects:

• Tradition and Ritual: Moon Elves place great importance on maintaining their traditions and performing rituals that have been passed down through generations.
• Non-Involvement Policy: The Moon Elves adhere to a strict policy of non-involvement in the affairs of neighboring nations, which has often led to mistrust and suspicion from their neighbors.
• Democratic Governance: Their society has a unique democratic system where citizens pledge allegiance to a House during election cycles every 25 years, following the leader of that House for the next term.

Relations with Other Races

Due to their non-involvement policy, Moon Elves are reserved in their interactions with other races. They are slow to trust but are respected for their fairness and integrity. Their reserved nature often leads to comparisons with the Drow, although Moon Elves are known for their democratic approach to governance and lack of treachery.

Fey Ancestry: Advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can’t put you to sleep

Trance: Elves do not need to sleep. Instead, they meditate deeply for 4 hours a day.

Elf Weapon Training: Proficiency with longsword, shortsword, shortbow, and longbow

Cantrip: Know one cantrip of your choice from the wizard spell list. Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for it.

Extra Language: One extra language of your choice
