Soo-Yei

The segregated  Chamoo community is its own little world inside the kasiik civilization, with its own public figures who rarely meet any fame outside of their borders. Among them, one has recently been made known in the world of men through the work of a human among his community. The bird, known as Soo-Yei, is one of the most renowned gooroos who practice the chamoo religion.
Soo-Yei is not very old in kasiik , but he bears the weight of decades of practising the religion. As described in the  Testimony describing the religion's rituals, gooroos have a habit of taking a powerful drug to "come into contact with their otherworldly deity", and Soo-Yei has the most impressive record of rituals of all gooroos.
But decades of  Skisefeii consumption have altered deeply his health. His mind is constantly foggy, his speech is distorted and unintelligible most of the time, he can barely hold himself standing. Strangely enough, there are some times where he will eventually wake up from his vegetative state, almost sober and healthy enough to walk, talk, practice magic. But still his addiction to the Skisefeii is so strong that his assistants have to feed him day and night with it.
The  ASAl has published a text from probably the same author as the previous testimony, which is a retranscription of a kasiik talking about Soo-Yei. In this report, the bird described a Chamoo ritual made by Soo-Yei. Here's the partial understanding of what he described:
[Soo-Yei] was brought on a stretcher [...] he was fed a large quantity of Skisefeii [...]. Then he got up, twirled around for a few seconds at the sound of drums, then he fell into death [...] for more than twenty minutes.[...] It's rare for even the most experienced gooroos to go dead for more than five to ten minutes, that's why Soo-Yei is so reputated, for being able to speak to the [god] for so long.
Speaking to their god is the whole point of the Chamoo ritual, so when families want to bring tricky and important matters to the Chamoo god's ear, Soo-Yei is the most capable of conveying their complaints, according to them.
