The Chamoo
Mythology & Lore
The Chamoo is the father of all sentient species. Born on this Earth at a time when it was completely different and populated with different life forms, he is said to have attained divinity by a total mastery of magic.
He is transcendent, omniscient and omnipotent, and uses his powers to drive the destiny of all, towards his unfathomable goal. He is thus not on any material plane anymore, but in transversal dimensions, only reachable on the other side of existence, in other words through death.
Divine Origins
The chamoo is very derived from the Kalendic cult. Originally, some human clerics tried to convert some Magissens to their own religion. However, due to language barriers, the kasiik did not get it well, and deformed the clerics' speeches into their own interpretation.
The master of mankind became the master of reality, the creator of laws began the decisioner of facts. The people's guide became the envisioner of future. Thus, the Chamoo was created.

Cosmological Views
According to the Chamoo's followers, the world and life were present for eternity before the appearance of the Chamoo. He was from a race of superior creatures, represented as close to ancient birds, but only he was able to fully master magic, by using and absorbing all of his peers. The Chamoo would then have rearranged the whole world, created sentient and magical acreatures. He then uses his omnipotency to guide and control all these beings, into his own greater goal.
Worship
The followers like to do regular offerings to the chamoo, just to thank him for guiding their lifes. They create small altars. usually, every house has an altar either next to it or inside it. Usual offerings consist in fruits, pigments, anything that could be appreciated by the chamoo.
The main ceremony bears the name of the god. The chamoo rite is used to communicate with the chamoo.
Since the chamoo is omniscient and omnipotent, one can try to reach him to ask knowledge, benedictions or services of him.
Recently, a report made by an unknown witness of such ceremonies, has been found and published. This testimony relates in details the execution of such ceremonies.
In truth, only a small part of the Kasiik population believes in the chamoo, and other Kasiik don't respect it, as it comes from the old human ennemy.
Priesthood
The cult is centered around the Gooroo. He or she is the one who can animate the rite of the chamoo, and a privileged communicator with the god.
Gooroos posess the knowledge of the cult and know the different variants of ceremonies.
They transmit the mythology and memory of to the congregation.
All gooroos must attend to a special gathering once every three years. This gathering is the occasion for gooroos to meet with each other, greet the novices, share and transmit knowledge. They also perform very heavy Chamoo rituals. Other than that, the cult is not very organised, and every gooroo has his own variants of the ceremonies.
