Northeners

Communities of the North are quite different from other places in the world. They've been isolated for a long time, living scattered in small settlements in the White Sea, and their presence traces back to the grey ages, before the time of Kalendos. At first isolated from the historic upheavals taking place in the Blue Sea, the dawn of civilization would progressively reach them by developing ways of communication, especially since boats were developed to cross over large seas, and since the construction of the northern section of the transcontinental roadway back in 485.I. The roadway was made possible by an historic investment from The Kalendic order in an attempt to go and spread the church to those who "had not been yet enlightened with Kalendos' guidance" (quote from the 35th sactus of the church). This enterprise would be a success with the establishment of a religious community now called "the Church of the Holy Books", which still lives today, although it struggles spreading in these lands where people firmly believe in the ancient rebaari gods.    Northerners are hardy people. Millenias of living in this rough climate has made them robust and straightforward people. They are known for their strong accent, and their dialect has a number of exotic words coming directly from a variation of the VEERV. In the north, it is unusual for men to shave and cut their hairs, while women usually prefer having shorter cuts, which appears very funny for other people.  In the White Sea, customs are a big deal. Both in Neenov and Seenov, the two cities of the region, it's common to see public ceremonies for all stages of life: birth, maturity, adulthood, marriage, canonization and finally, death are all accompanied by the community through small events comprised of challenges, prayers, sharing sweets and drinks.    Resulting from the environmental conditions and customs alike, communities are strongly tied to each other and people are very generous and friendly to each other and to strangers.
