Roe

Roe is the main character of Superstition and is a player-controlled protagonist.
Roe’s name, gender, appearance, orientation, personality, and some of their lifestyle choices are all dependent on the player choice. The only thing that the player cannot choose is their family members, age, and species.

Personal history

Roe was born to two parents who they weren’t able to get to know due to unfortunate events. With their parent’s death, their uncle, Matheus Roe, adopts them. Their childhood is spent dealing with their trauma and seeing multiple therapists who all turn Roe away due to believing that Roe is too much, and to fragile, to handle.
After graduating high school, Roe attends George Mason University, staying the first year with their uncle. After meeting Chris, and becoming close friends with him, Roe and Chris move into the dorms together and then, for the third year, get an apartment together. Roe is finishing up their junior year when they meet Sydero, and everything begins.

Season One

After finishing up a shift at their place of employment, The Alley, Roe finds an unconscious young woman lying on one of the paths. Worried that she might've been a victim to a crime, they take her to the hospital. Later on, the hospital calls Roe and asks for them to come by, hoping that the young woman will speak to Roe since she refuses to talk to anyone else. Roe does as they ask but finds themselves pulled into something bigger than they ever expected. Roe suddenly is being visited by cops who want to know about the young woman, and when they do meet back up with her, she tells them that the supernatural is real. Realizing that the supernatural cops probably know where Roe's uncle lives, Roe races back to the house and, depending on choices, can save their uncle or finds their uncle dead. After asking the woman to let them join her, and she accepts, Roe ventures out to learn more about the supernatural.
