ECS Frontier
ECS (Earth Cargo Ship) Frontier was a J class cargo ship that used to trade goods on a regular bases with Proxima Centauri star system in the early decades of Human exploration of space outside the Sol system.
The ship was like many other ships of it's class and was ran and by a family who lived abord the ship. With the Frontier it was the Trevithick Family who owned and ran the ship.
The Frontier was declared lost in 2256 after being out of contact for a year. The last report from the ship was a message warning of there delay, because of having to go through a Nebula to avoid a Ion storm.

"Personal Log Alexandra Trevithick, Iain has informed me that we have an Ion storm up ahead and we have to go around. We have a choice of going through a nebula which is the direct route, but it makes the long range scanners practically useless. Or use open space with no spacial phenomena which will take us triple the time presuming the Ion storm doesn't get bigger and take us longer."
"Personal Log Supplemental Alexandra Trevithick, We have decided to go through the nebula and have contacted are destination to say we are going to be delayed. I will go and batten down the hatches and prepare some food that can be just stored and doesn't need cooking just in case we are not in a position to cook."

The armor was very good for the time period to help the ship against the likes of pirates. This armor used is polarized hull plating.

It has ok communications, but nothing to radio home about.

With the J class update from the Y class origins, it gained extra storage space as well as i bigger galley and kitchen. The designer even put a cinema into the ship.
