She would never think anything bad of her mother and because she truly believes her mother did everything she could for her because she was amazing and deserved a whole world, everything that would make her and their family name last forever.Biggest disillusions from childhood:
Avu believes she has no father.That she is a test tube baby; incubated and raised by her mother and so she is more special than anyone else because unlike adopted kids and naturally born kids, she’s her mother's blood AND entirely her mother’s choice.
This is not true, she is the illegitimate child of an army general in the San territories who is still trying to find her mother.

Avu’s mother didn’t raise a fool. She knew her only child was her chance at success. She blamed her own mother, Avu’s grandmother. Avu’s mother felt she wasn’t focused enough on the whole ideal of work for wealth.
Now she worked hard to make Avu’s life perfect, getting together with a rich man, visiting a gravesite from the Sotho territories.
They got engaged and she got pregnant but his fortunes fell through, he became a drug abuser and eventually a domestic abuser, hurting her until she finally shot and left him on an airship leading out.
She was later caught as a stowaway because she wouldn’t use her name, his name. The worst of the worst had happened, now Avu grew up on the run and had no idea.
She simply thought she was being groomed. Which in its own way was true because her mother was determined to make her a queen. Avu showed a level of brilliance that couldn’t be matched. As she jumped from school to school and changed names, repeatedly, learning multiple languages.
When she washed up on the Oasis, she had nothing. Time and life there proved a waste. She was beaten abused, taken advantage of until she started using her mind; taking advantage of others by building on the weak and using numbers to establish herself.
Through Bludgeon Ball and physical training, she became the strongest of the strong and built up a powerful support system that could endure without her.
