Ancient Bones

The Roctane of Stelwen are known for their prolific use of animal parts in their apparel and crafts. It would only make sense that would find use of the bones of titans that once dominated the world during the Primeval Era thousands of years ago. Where others see the grand memorial to the destructive power of nature, the Roctane see a suit of armor waiting to be made.

Origin

As the name suggests, Ancient Titan Bone is a material taken from the skeletal remains of colossal creatures that once lived on Nostrina. Stelwen has the largest amount of titan remains compared to any other location on Nostrina.

Acquisition

Ancient Titan Bone can be harvested from the colossal bones of prehistoric titans. The locations with the most abundant amount of these titanic bones have been the Utek lowlands and the Putrid Depths. The lower elevation of the province of Utek made locating the remains of titans somewhat easier since many of them are exposed above ground. Some cities, like the provincial capital Mor Iristalak, use these bones to reinforce structures.
For the daring adventurer looking for bones untouched by the elements, one can search the dark, death-filled caverns of the Putrid Depths. The bodies of billions of animals both recent and ancient can be found be discovered here, including the bones of titans that lived during the Primeval Era. These bones are considered fresher and more valuable than their above-ground counterparts. With great value, however, comes great danger, as the Putrid Depths are home to many dangerous creatures that won't hesitate to pick the flesh from the bones of the careless.

Usage

The bones of the ancient titans are extremely hard and durable, making them an ideal material for arms and armor. Compared to armor made from metal, armor made with Ancient Titan Bone is much lighter with similar protectiveness. Some weaponsmiths use the material to make weapons, though this isn't as popular as Titan Bone armor due to common metals being better options.
