The First Realm

Nostrina is the oldest realm in the vast void of the Expanse. Its age gives it many unique properties, most notably is the strange nebula known as the Fingers of Creation that lingers on the edges of the realm, which has attracted many higher beings to this ancient realm. Eons of events by the hands of nature and divine forces have molded this world into what it is today.

The planet of Nostrina is contained within the realm Æterna, though the name Nostrinia is often used interchangeably with Æterna. Nostrina orbits around the star Callor along with six other astral bodies: Arder, Tulia, Phosepus, Iotis, Canus, and Orixus. Orbiting Nostrina is the gray moon Argent, though some claim other moons lay hidden in the night sky. Among the night sky stars lie one of Nostrina's greatest wonders, The Fingers of Creation, an ancient nebula that resembles a hand reaching out into the emptiness. Many religions describe the nebula as a divine relict, a secret left by Nostrina's creator that must be unraveled to answer life's greatest questions.

Geography

Imbelek: The Cradle of Mankind, where humanity took its first steps and began a new era in Nostra.   Glakora: North of Imbelek lies the temperate land of Glakora, Humanity's Proving Ground.   Ostenland: The Cauldron of the East, Ostenland has served as the birthplace for some of Nostrinia's greatest nations and empires throughout history.   Stelwen: Separated from the rest of Nostrina by sea, the strange and alien land of Stelwen is the home to the survivalist Ractane.   Enceladus: The northern icecaps are frigid and inhospitable for most, except the Frost Elves who call it home.   The Rift: Far to the west of Imbelek lies the shattered land simply known as the Rift. The great powers of Nostrina race to stake their claim in this unknown land, though the magical anomalies and strange wildlife have made this a challenging endeavor.   Barakal: Enceladus's southern counterpart lies unclaimed by Nostrina's major powers because of its unwelcoming climate. Many secrets lie buried in the ice, waiting to be uncovered by only the most ambitious explorers.

Inhabitants

Numerous different races call this ancient land home, each with their own culture and outlook on the world. These sentient races are broken up into four categories: Humanoids, Elves, and Exotic, and Xenus. Humanoid races are classified as species related to humans but have standout and unique features; this category also includes humans as a reference. Elves are human-like races with pointed ears who've adapted to their environments in strange, almost magical ways. Exotic races include any sentient race native to Nostra but aren't related to humans or elves biologically, while Xenus refers to any species from a realm outside of Nostra.

Humanoids

Humanity: Nostrina's oldest and most widespread inhabitants and the common ancestor of all humanoid and elven races. Humanity has reached into all corners of Nostrina, carving out a legacy permanently ingrained into the very earth   Steachi: Referred to as the "Star Eyed People," the Steachi of Krallum are known for their proficiency in the magical arts. Their appearance is incredibly similar to humans, save for their eyes, which contain arcane patterns that suggest greater power waiting to be discovered.   Drackkis: The Drackiss are a semi-reptilian race of humanoids believing themselves to be related to dragons. Their eyes are like that of a snake, while the rest of their body has patches of scales. The size of these patches is not uniform, with some individuals having only small patches while others have their entire bodies covered in scales. They are known for their speed and agility, producing some of Nostrinia's greatest assassins and rouges.   Unganna: Originating from the subcontinent of Hilt, the Unganna are a strange race of humanoids that are unable to die of old age but will shift into mad, writhing creatures. The Fundamental Law that nothing can last forever and must eventually die is an integral part of their beliefs and customs.

Elves

Cardinal Elves: The progenitor of Nostrina's elves, these Cardinal elves are the evolutionary link between humans and elves. Their society is one of the oldest on Nostra, dating back as far as the Arrini empire of the early Ancestral Era.   Sun Elves: Forged in the brutal deserts of Crucible, the Sun Elves have risen to become some of the most renowned fighters in all of Nostrina. Their lifestyle is built on the pillars of constant self-improvement through combat and hardship. Their homeland is a part of their identity, and they will fight to the bitter end for it.   Frost Elves: Far to the north, in the icy land of Enceladus, the Frost Elves have adapted and thrived. These pale, nimble elves are impervious to the harsh unending cold of their homeland. The Cardinal Elves teachings of sin and shame are despised by the Frost Elves, who take pride in who they are and what they have accomplished.   Roctane: Stelwen is a strange land; it only fits that the elves that call it home are equally as strange. The Roctane have reddish-brown skin and sharp facial features with bones and hair partially made of metal, which gives them greater magical abilities. Their society is one of structure; everyone has a purpose that supports the rest of Stelwen.

Exotic Races

Varaki: Originating from Marasstrix, The Varaki are a race of bipedal insects with a knack for innovation and efficiency. Perhaps their greatest accomplishment as a race is their mastery of portal and teleportation magics, which have allowed them to settle realms beyond Nostrinia with ease.
