General Server Rules

General

  • Character Creation Rules
  • Languages Countries and lands outside of Teas Leth have thief own variations of Common apparently. i.e In Issen they speak mostly Issenian and some Wayang. With Issenian being the Common language.
  • Skills & Ability Checks
As per usual, rolling a natural 20 or a natural 1 is not a automatic success or failure. But there are additional new rules to make those rolls feel more special to player
    • Rolling a Natural 20 on a dice roll will give the roll a +10 to the total score
    • Rolling a Natural 1 on a dice roll will give the roll a -10 to the total score
  • Unchained Poison and Disease rules
  • Retraining.
    • You may only retrain HD once.
    • Retraining costs are adjusted to 100 × your level × the number of days required to retrain.
  • Emerging Firearms
    • Ammunition and component prices have been increased to 1.5x the normal amount.
    • The critical damage of firearms have been lowered by 1 step. In most cases this means firearms do an extra x3 damage instead of x4
    • All starting firearms gained from class features, traits, feats, or other abilities, start off as battered.
    • Firearms are illegal in certain locations and are held with a stigma to most of the game world.
    • Firearms are not readily available for purchase in these locations.

  • Weapon Sizes
Weapon wielding limits are changed. Creatures may wield weapons outside of their size categories without additional effort so long as they have the appropriate ‘handedness’. Weapons that are one size step beyond your size category increase in handedness and weapons one step below lower in handedness. For example a small sized creature may wield a medium sized longsword without any additional effort but it becomes a two-handed weapon. Likewise a medium sized creature may wield a small sized longsword as a light weapon. When you wield a weapon that is outside this handedness, such as a medium creature wielding a large sized greatsword, you gain a cumulative -4 penalty for each step beyond your ability to handle the weapon. This doesn't allow you to wield huge weapons.
  • For very four levels of their highest level character (levels 4/8/12/16/20), players are allowed an additional slot to create a new character with. To a max of 6 characters.
    • Players are allowed to bench any character for later use, freeing up that slot. Bench characters can not be picked if there are no available slots and if only a real life week has passed.

Downtime

  • Pick one of the options below per day
    • Earning half the allotted xp as if you beat a creature of CR equal to your level if you didn't participate in any encounters for the day. At level 10. characters can no longer take downtime xp and must rely solely on encounters to gain any experience.
This chart provides you with the correct amount of experience per character level
    • Earn a living from the relevant skills (profession, perform, craft). Limit once per week.
    • Crafting, using the Alternate Crafting Rules
    • You CANNOT do a weekly craft check if you are making any daily crafting checks. Including creating magical items (such as: weapons, armor, scrolls, potions, constructs, etc.)
  • If you have not reached downtime XP cap (level 10), you may still take daily XP downtime AND the weekly profession/craft/perform check.
  • In the event of a player being inactive (i.e. not participating in any event or rp session) on the server for more than 72 hours. That player can no longer perform downtime.
  • You are allowed to do missed downtime.
    • You can only do missed downtime from the previous five days

Profession Changes

Depending on the profession, the skill can be based off Charisma, Intelligence, or Wisdom (i.e a bar singer can use Charisma fro Profession, while a scribe might use Intelligence). The amount of gold you earn from a Profession check is based on the ranks you have in the skill.
0-4 - You get your check in gold pieces x 10
    5 - 9 - You get your check in gold pieces x 50
    10 - 14 - You get your check in gold pieces x 100
15-20 - You get your check in gold pieces x 200
Example: Imagine four characters with 1, 5, 10, 15 ranks rolled a 10 on the check. They would respectively get:
    110 gp
    750 gp
    2000 gp
    5000 gp
