Tortle
The tortle are a Cognizana species of humanoid tortoise like creatures. They are large, scaled, and have a tough shell on their back.

Tortle's usually adopt simple names with few syllables that are easy to be pronounced by other cultures.
History
Tortle were created by the Beast Lord Schiltuga. They are a strong independent people with a large colony on an island south east of Sunotria near the Tempestwall. It is thought that they originated from Ryostrand beyond the Tempestwall.
Generally Tortles are among the longest lived of the Cognizana, and usually live quite happily on their home island, though many spend a period of their life travelling through the wide world. As such small Tortle communities are common throughout the port cities of Notria, especially in the Pershonta Archipelago, Bashied Desert, and the Traxan Crescent.
Unknown to many outsiders, most Tortles are followers of a philosophy system called
