Cognizana

Cognizana is the term used to refer to the sentient mortal species that inhabit Notria . It does not include magical creatures that are of equivalent sentience such as dragons or giants. It is a broad category but includes Elves, Humans, Dwarves, Gnomes, Halflings, Orcs, Tsa-Shazin.

Some categorizations are more generous and include some other species such as the Goblins , or the beast peoples like the Lizardfolk, Tabaxi, or others. This distinction becomes more important in societies that use the Cognizana as a qualifier for citizenship or certain rights.
