Sventa
Sventa is a Kingdom comprised many of island states in the Pereshonta Archipelago. These islands are constantly plotting against one another, and systems of alliances and temporary defense pacts keep any one island from dominating the political landscape for too long.
Their unity is built on a common cultural and linguistic base, as all the Sventi islands were settled by the Shontan people.
Most of the population is Island Shazin, which fill the islands' scattered large cities and lush sea sides.
Structure
The Islands are arranged in small city states, although occasionally they can be swept up under the same banner for one reason or another (such as a result of conquest or a mutual defense pact).
Culture
The people of Sventa's cities are highly industrious and prestigious with magic. This is thanks to the majority of Island Shazin's connection to magical elements. The people also freely engage in commerce with other city states as it is the life blood of the region. An embargo can be as devastating as siege. The people are friendly and good natured, although sometimes they have ulterior motives. On average the are good natured and love to hold conversation, even with strangers.
History
The islands lay virtually untouched by the First Era Collapse as the humans who dared venture south of the Faliso Shield or Bashied Desert where meant with fierce resistance. The nation couldn't stay on guard to outsiders forever as they relied on the expanding network of commerce to fuel their nations growth.
Demography and Population
Almost entirely Island Shazin, with a smattering of other Cognizana, mostly Humans. There are a few notable Salt Gnomes and Sea Elves.
Religion
As Tsa-Shazin, the gods of the Erosanea are worshiped here, but as an island nation, sea gods also have their place in many port towns.
Foreign Relations
The Sventi maintain trade relations with the three great powers to the north, especially Thalassocracy of Chel, but they are wary of allowing any of the Chellian Merchant Houses from establishing permanent factories on the islands.
