Grand Municipality of Veslan
The Grand Municipality is the only republican Province of Erikadia, and is based around the city of Veslan. It is in fact controlled by a council of noble and wealthy citizens who are elected by their peers and in turn elect a Patrician who serves as the chief executive of the province.
Structure
Even though the Grand Municipality is run by an elected government, suffrage is only extended to land owners and the wealthy. Most of the land is divided between small manorial estates owned by minor nobility. In the city of Veslan itself there is some nobility, but many commoners have achieved a great amount of wealth as well and so are also granted voting rights.
