Marcineaux is a kingdom situated on the Western coast of Edeoxes. It is one of the larger kingdoms on the continent and has played a pivotal role throughout history. It's capital is in Merbourg
Structure
The Kingdom is ruled by an absolute monarch, currently King Leair V of the House of Evereux, one of the oldest Malvir houses in Marcineaux.
The King is advised by his council which is made up of his closest political and military allies. Upon the death of the King, his heir is chosen from one of his children by the council.

Public Agenda
King Leair V has promised to bring Marcineaux back to its former glory, especially after having overseen their crushing losses in the Steel War of a few years before.

Marcineaux has always enjoyed a relatively large army though that focus has cost them naval prowess.
History
Marcineaux is the historical home of the Malvir elves. Though it is a multi-cultural country, the Malvir largely dominate Marcinian politics.
Marcineaux has a long history of civil strife especially since the advent of more progressive political thought throughout Edeoxes. The combination of its long multicultural history and its rule by absolute monarchs has led to uprisings and even a few political coups in its long history.
Being almost exclusively ruled by Malvir elves; it has only had one human monarch who was ousted in a coup in 5ME shortly after the Cataclysm's Wane. Being Elves, the monarchs of Marcineaux generally rule for hundreds of years. This has created tension with many of the humans in the realm as well as their allies.
