TCS Myrmidon Mk4
The Myrmidon is one of the first Artificer weapons developed by the in-house Artificers in the Toledo City-State(organization:c1616be9-5667-4c0b-ac8c-d508da1fa3e0). The first models were developed in 68 PE. The last version, the Mk4, was designed in 83PE and lasted until the end of the [Mid-Ohio Resource War that lead to the creation of the The Union of Artificers and the general ban on Artificer weapons. Since a fair number of Myrmidons were created and sold off or traded out of the TCS, a number survived the ban and became registered weapons with the Artificer's Union. In fact, the Myrmidon is probably the most common Artificer firearm in registration. A small number of the "slivers" the Myrmidon uses as power cells are produced each year for wealthy and influential supporters of the Union, though the actual use of these weapons in any form of conflict is still strictly prohibited and policed by the Union.
The Myrmidon Mk4 is a rather compact sidearm meant for general use within the TCS forces. While not as powerful as the mainline military weapons created by the TCS, the Myrmidon is a significant improvement in terms of capacity, armor/material penetration, and reliability compared to other conventional Earth That Is weaponry. It was designed to use very little in terms of Glow Rock material, making it highly efficient to maintain ammunition stocks - in many cases Artificers can use the byproducts of created the much larger "eggs" that weapons like the TCS Scouter and TCS Guardian Battle Rifle make use to create the small "slivers" that power the Myrmidon.
