Strength
Terraxia had limited strength at the beginning of the war since they were no united but were instead a series of city-states culturally linked. After uniting their military was able to withstand the Myraxx and forced a peace treaty
Myrcrassia began the war as The Great Myraxx Empire and as this force they (at the time) had the largest military of any other nation. They also had the advantage of being amphibious, which meant they chose to invade using the river systems as a stealth system, allowing them to sneak up on unsuspecting Terraxians. When the empire fell and The Supreme Republic of Myrcrassia was created, they lost the ability to have a large standing military and shortened their military service terms, meaning a smaller military for a shorter amount of time, weakening them. This change in government also gave the Terraxians time to unite, and saw a reverse invasion begin and so the Myraxx sued for peace to prevent further land loss.
Casualties
Terraxia lost many in the first ten years of the war, both soldier and civilian, but when Myrcrassia got to the capital city of Terranon, they found they could not penetrate it, preventing anymore Terraxian casualties. After unification Terraxia sent forth its newly established united army and pushed back the Myraxx, with few casualties on their side.
During the Empires time, few casualties were had until they reached Terranon, where the city's defenses proved too strong to penetrate and saw many Myraxx casualties, likely helping cause the change in government mid-war. After Terraxian unification the Myraxx began to be pushed back and loss many more soldiers than the Terraxians had been losing when the tables were turned.
