Farscape Raiders
An illicit gang of thieves, brigands and raiders operating in the north-west of Beru particularly around Tessin.
Structure
Led by Hildingr Half-Giant with an iron fist the gang operates under a singular rule "The strong rule the weak". Anyone can rise through the ranks of the gang through challenging one above them in social standing. The top raiders and plunderers gain respect and a level of authority within the gang but ultimatly defer to Hildingr.
Culture
The members of the gang are often superstitious believing in omens and folktales. Using magic considered outside the norm through carved runes and nature spellcasters within the gang can rival apprentices of traditional arcane schools but falter when challenged by more experienced people.
Public Agenda
The gang's singular objective is to claim glory and treasure through conquest. Hildingr Half-Giant seeks to leave a legacy of powerful decendents that will one day claim Witchbark.
Assets
The gang has claimed an abandoned fortress on the Farscape tributary of the Pelen Way. This fortress used to belong to the Stockcross military but was abandoned in 1127 after an attack from the Dale Clan.
History
In the spring of 1299 the gang laid claim to an abandoned fortress along the shores of the tributary that flows from the Farscape Peaks to the Pelen Way seizing it from a goblin clan.
In 1332 the gang raided the outskirts of Witchbark for animals and supplies for the coming winter. The raid was a success but drew the ire of the military who persued the gang far into the mountains, only returning after a bloody skirmish during a vicious snowstorm.
In 1340 a splinter group ventured into the town of Tessin to 'aquire' supplies from local merchants. They drew the ire of a local gang called The Brass Fang resulting in a bloody turf war that filled the streets with violence and death.
