Farscape Peaks

An impassible mountain range that isolates the Beru Peninsular from the rest of its continent. The tallest of the mountains here are covered by clouds so their true height is unknown. Many attempts to find a land route through these mountains but none have been succsessful, even attempts to fly over have been thwarted by the storms and snow. Sailing round the coastline is also dangerous due to storms, the seas often freeze over trapping any unfortunate souls who mistakenly came ashore.
Legends say these mountains were created by the gods to punish those who live in Beru by trapping them away from the rest of the world.
Old tales suggest that these mountains are guarded by fierce creatures made of ice and snow.
