Keldar - Goliath Species in Beren'Dor | World Anvil

Keldar - Goliath

Living in the cold south, the Keldar call them selves the Children of Winter, and they venerate Biera. The Kelder keep to themselves, rarely going beyond where the reach of the lower Icemane Forest.

Speak No Lie

The Keldar are known for their honesty. They believe that a lie always costs the person or people lied to far more than it costs the liar to speak it. Once a person has lied, it shows their poor moral character, lack of integrity, and utter disregard for both personal and family honor. Once found to be a liar, that person can never be trusted again. While not formally exiled, those who lie become social pariahs and outcasts. Their honesty is constantly brought into question. They are unable to serve as witness in any legal trial, for they have already proven that they cannot be trusted to always speak the truth.

Savage Warriors

While peaceful by nature, the Keldar pride themselves on their strength and brutality on the battlefield, often supported by their shaman. Only once since winning their freedom have the Keldar been forced to fight a war, and even then it was in aid to Gath. Legends still endure today of the Keldar Chieftess Astrid Solveig and her Jarls, along with their warriors and war wolves that laid waste to the Torunn.   Note: This is a custom/modified race.
