Anuret (ann-yur-et)

Appearance

Anuret most often appears as a tall, slender humanoid woman with ivy for hair, and hazel eyes. Most accounts agree that her skin changes to whatever she wishes. Sometimes it is fair and pale, others it is gray and stone. Indeed, it is generally accepted that, like most gods, her form is merely one of convenience than permanence. She is most often depicted with a staff, and wearing gold-trimmed green dress.

Mother of All

Anuret is most commonly known as the "Mother of all." It is she who seeded the first forests, created the first animals, created and coaxed the plant life, and generally gave life to a sculpted ball of earth. She is also the most kindly inclined towards mortals. Many accounts involving Anuret tell of her fascination for the sentient races of Beren'Dor.

Those that follow Anuret, most often, are physicians, healers, herbalists, naturalists, as well as those involved with farming and animal husbandry. Many common folk also follow Anuret or seek her aid with issues involving love or fertility, or just follow her because she seems the most approachable of all the gods. Sailors often pray that they do not run into a tempest on the seas, or any other natural phenomena, for the seas can be unpredictable.

Tenets

Anuret reverse life most of all, for Nathr flows through it. Those that seek death, or undeath, are generally regarded as her enemies. It is her highest, and most important tenant for all adherents, and also the one tenets that is most inviolate to all those who follow her. Any who has taken oaths, or has gained her divine favor that violate this most important tenant will be considered out of favor, or to have broken their oath to her.

Love. Love, in all its forms, works in strange ways, and Anuret presides over all the ways of love, whether it be the love of a friend, or romantic love. A soft answer can turn away wrath that would not otherwise be sated. It heals the deepest of hurts, and is more precious than gold.

Life, Nature & Fertility. All of these things are related. Life requires the ability to propogate and grow, and both are a part of nature.

Spring. While Nature is a large umbrella, it the spring season that most sentient races identify with Anuret. It is a time of nature springing to life again, a time for farmers to sow their seed, and most typically a time for all nature to renew itself. For as long as anyone can remember, spring has been a time of life, fertility, and growth.
