The Wayfarer

Ithor, The Wanderer

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral   Portfolio: Horses, Animals, air, Travel, freedom   Worshippers: Merchants, Travelers, Stablemasters, Stormborn   Alignments: CG/CN/N   Weapon: Thunderbolt - Longbow   The Wayfarer is the patron of all those who feels a strong calling towards freedom, a wanderlust, and or a need to explore. Followers of the Wayfarer dislike lingering in a single spot, while many have a home that they can return to there is quite a few groups of travelers who live in vardos and other mobile homes. When these caravans find something worth exploring they will form a camp with their wagons and set out again and again to explore the area. Chances are most of the rumors of dungeons and monster lairs have come from the explorers of the Wayfarer.   The Wayfarer is often depicted as a cloud or stylized lines depicting a breeze, among the humans they give him the form of Ithor, a horse of living silver that runs throughout the fields of Rhyderia ever free. Ithor is said to be the patron spirit and father of horses with the mother being Irdeh of the elder spirits. There are a great many statues and depictions of the Wayfarer in Rhyderia though many are in the form of Ithor as horses are very important to Rhyderians. The connection goes deeper than that though, for the Wayfarer was one of the more important gods during the reign of the Ozari.

Holy Books & Codes

The Wanderings is the code in which the followers of the Wayfarer adhere to, most of the wayfarer's clergy do not record their teachings with many of the followers being the same way, they explore for the sake of exploration, not documentation. There are those who create maps though and what most people associate The Wanderings to be is an Atlas containing numerous maps of the region in which the faith is based. Some researchers like to have copies of these collections to see how things have changed.

Tenets of Faith

To truly live is to be free. The problems of the world are weights that will hold you in place if you let them, detach yourself and be free. Violence should only ever be a result of defense.

Holidays

The Wayfarer does not have a holy day instead of celebration on a single day the followers of The Wayfarer would rather be out exploring and discovering something new or forgotten, the celebration can happen after that.
