Faends

'A union so chaotic it circled around to bring order on itself.'

A Faend (Fae-einds) is a strange melding of old world fae and fiends, none who care know how this came to me, those who know don't care. Thus far Faends share things in common with Rakshasha in their ability to come to the material plane and yet remain functionally immortal. They are neither demon nor devil they care not for the ceaseless wars between the upper and lower planes, their desire for souls tempered by their own rules, those rules fluid and rigid at once. A quote from a long-forgotten scholar once said 'A union so chaotic it circled around to bring order on itself.'

Chaotic Law

The Faends have a few rules that they will always adhere to, at least the core of those rules. The details might change but the core remains the same.   Law of Hospitality: A Faend will be hospitable first until offended. If already angered they may try to orchestrate an offense to justify their desired action. This law applies to any territory they have claimed, which many will seek to avoid in the future if possible.   Law of Souls: A soul cannot be stolen, or forcefully taken. The owner must willingly offer it, and any bargains struck to get the soul are honored. Being influenced by anything other than magical compulsion is irrelevant to the bargain being struck.   Baaphora's Bidding: If it can be proven a Faend will aid someone championing Baaphora's cause, even if it would harm themselves. How this can be proven can take many forms, from a trinket or token to engaging in hedonism in Baaphora's name.
