A largely unknown organisation, of unknown age and reach, though both appear to be extensive.
The Shadows operate much more subtlely than their aggressive arm, The Ascendent. From interrogating deceased members of the Shadows, it is believed that the recruits from the Shadows are 'conscripted' from the ranks of the Ascendent.
