The Memorial Gardens
The Gardens are one of the quietest and most peaceful areas of the city, popular with all races and classes of citizens. The gardens are meant to be an approximation of the beautiful lands the world had before, and contain winding gravel pathways, streams and even some carefully disguised habitats for a few of the wild creatures that were able to be saved from the old world. The gardens are a spot for leisurely strolls, romantic liaisons and even potentially clandestine meetings.
Due to the views of the gardens, many of the city’s most affluent citizens live in townhouses facing them. Successful business owners, senior civil servants and politicians can be found in these streets. These streets are often referred to as the ‘Money Gardens’. Due to this the guard presence in the residential streets is much more prominent than in the poorer districts.
