Session 81-82: #BackTank

General Summary

Evening in Sand's Heart; Rel attempts to feign blindness when Dhaer arrives but fails. Recount story of taking staff from incursion entrance.
Dhaer portals the darkness staff to the Sanctum.
Sanctum plans an attack on Karliath as soon as incursions are over. Speedy resolution would be appreciated.
The longer we wait, the stronger the army. More troops lessen the chances.
They are politely requesting our help; plan is to send us in during an assault to handle the Night Mother. Up to us, no need for decision now.
Rel wants help finding Elirith's brother; no changelings have been noted or seen in the last month or so, but finding them is going to be nearly impossible unless its right place, right time.
Dhaer has methods of putting rumour around that Sanctum wish to thank a changeling - may spook them or draw them out.
Peni and Draala have a date; learns of fire giants fortress below, caverns with crystals and strange liquids, and an underground forest a day and a half away.
At night, Liv dreams of a voice calling "Free me" from the clouds.

Head into tunnels behind incursion point. Spend too much time walking and looking at a rock.
Find fire giants carrying bugbears and goblins on platforms crossing lava lake. Tiefling warlocks seem to be controlling them.
One tiefling thrown across the lava to get away, second is killed. Fire Giants explode.
Lava is approx 400x200ft with rocky steps across but lava giving off tremendous heat that damages when close.
Take tiefling body back, bears mark of the Equilibrium; radicalised tieflings. Leaders were rooted out a few months ago and imprisoned.
Arrange to interrogate one of the leaders.
